Sunshine Coast Midwife

My name is Lois Wattis and I am registered with the Queensland Nursing Council as a Comprehensive Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM). I am accredited with the Australian College of Midwives as an Independent Practising Midwife (IPM), and I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I practise in Queensland on the Sunshine Coast.

Midwifery and Lactation Consultation

As a Lactation Consultant in Private Practice I can provide breastfeeding support and guidance in your home. I am also employed in a specialist Lactation Consultant role (CN/LC) at Nambour General Hospital and due to time constraints I can no longer provide direct midwifery birth support services.

As a Registered Midwife I offer private midwifery consultations providing professional independant advice and education about your pregnancy, labour, birth and early parenting.

I support your intuitive knowledge about your baby and offer practical guidance to develop your parenting skills and facilitate breastfeeding, assisting a smooth transition to family life.

Although I am no longer conducting homebirths, I am committed to offering women the choice of personalised care which is focussed on their individual needs and family structure.
